Welcome to the interactive map!
I built this because I wish it existed.
An interactive map 🌎 made for parents. So you’re not 47 tabs deep or scrolling through 200 saved videos trying to remember who said that one thing about Bali with a baby.
Every pin📍 leads to blog post on real family experiences. Whether you’re dreaming big or planning a quick weekend away, this helps you skip the guesswork and find places that actually work with kids.

Every orange pin = a place I’ve personally been with my daughter.
I’ve walked the streets, tested the playgrounds, figured out if the stroller fits in that elevator.
If you see a place you’re curious about and don’t spot a blog post, pin, or reel yet, feel free to message me. This is going to be updatedly often but I would love to connect you to someone who knows or some insights I have from personal research.

Destination Q&A
-
Start by asking other parents friends, family, or trusted travel groups. Personal recommendations go a long way.
Then do a quick vibe check:
Are there nearby playgrounds?
Are the sidewalks safe and stroller-friendly?
Does the local culture welcome families?
Are most destinations within easy walking distance?
Bonus: If locals smile when your toddler throws a snack, that’s a good sign.
-
If you need a kitchen, separate sleeping spaces, or nap-friendly quiet go with an Airbnb.
If you’re looking for a pool, on-site dining, or daily cleaning hotel might be the better fit.
Honestly? I use both, depending on the length of the trip and the space layout.
Sometimes if we travel longer I do a mix. I pick Air Bnb when we need to do laundry and hotels when we are in a big city near things we want to see.
-
Yes! Especially with snacks from home. If you’re really struggling with this you can search for restaurants with fries, rice, or “plain” options before you go.
If we go to a different country we make or try the food at home before so they are trying it in a familiar place.
Before our trip to Japan, we made simple miso soup at home and picked up sushi from the grocery store. That way, when we saw it on the menu abroad, it wasn’t totally unfamiliar, it was just “that soup we had on Tuesday.”
And listen no judgment if you happen to find that golden arch comfort meal is exactly what our kid needs after a long travel day. McDonald’s overseas can be a lifesaver, and it’s actually fun to see how the menu changes in different countries.
-
Absolutely. Will it be smooth sailing the whole way? Probably not.
Think about what’s on the other side of that flight: whether it’s grandparents, new cultures, or just a change of scenery for us it has always bigger than the hard moments.
It gets easier with practice, prep, and a few solid tricks up your sleeve.
Scroll through my flying-with-littles tips [here].

Start by thinking through three things:
weather, sleep setup, and your daily routine.I always bring:
One familiar bedtime item (sound machine, lovey, bedtime book, our favorite blanket)
Weather-appropriate gear (sun hat, raincoat, etc.)
Something for downtime (small toy kit, coloring pad, story device)
The fewer random items I pack, the less I end up digging through my bag mid-meltdown.
-
Yes. It’s harder (at first), but also kind of magical.
My husband’s job means we travel solo a lot. My toddler and I have done 20+ countries together, and what I’ve learned is this: pack light, slow down, and trust yourself. If you’re traveling solo with your child, make sure you carry a travel consent form.

Before you arrive, take a minute to check the basics:
Are outlets covered or out of reach?
Is the tap water safe to drink?
What’s the bath/shower setup like (especially with little ones)?
Will you need a car seat, or is public transit walkable and stroller-friendly?
Knowing these things ahead of time can save a lot of stress after a long travel day.

Let’s laugh, learn, and maybe even get a little lost, because traveling with kids isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.
ABOUT ME
Hi , I’m Britt!
Mom. Frequent flier. Finder of playgrounds in six languages.
I’ve taken my daughter to 24+ countries and we’re just getting started. Passport Playdate was built so parents like you don’t have to dig through forums, 10-year-old blog posts, or 100 saved Reels to plan a trip.
Every destination here has been vetted by real families (including mine). I share what worked, what flopped, and what made us say, “Let’s stay one more day.”
Because you don’t need a five-star budget or a travel agent to see the world with your kids. You just need the right info and definitely your favorite snacks.
I’m so glad you’re
part of the
Passport Playdate family!
Whether you just booked your first flight or you're panic-texting from a delayed layover
I want to hear it.
This space is for the wins, the meltdowns, and everything in between.
