This Is Your Invitation to Explore
Truthfully, I didn’t start this page for me.
It’s never really been about me.
It’s always been about you.
The curious mom who googled “How do you take a stroller through security?”
The parent who wants their kids to see the world but isn’t sure where to start.
Passport Playdate was built for you.
The overthinkers, the last-minute packers, the families doing it scared anyway.
Here, you’ll find tips that actually help, gear that’s been tested in the wild (aka: on airplanes, in hotels, and during full-blown meltdowns), and a community that gets it.
Because travel isn’t just for the fearless.
It’s for the planners, the worriers, the dreamers.
It’s for you. Its for us.
I believe that travel isn’t just a destination -> it’s a mindset.
And you don’t need a perfect plan, a Pinterest itinerary, or even a full night’s sleep to chase it.
If You’re Still Dying to Know About Me…

Hi, I’m Britt. Here’s the quick version:
Mom to one curious, well-traveled little girl I refer to as HB. We’ve taken 125+ flights and explored 24 countries together (so far).
U.S. Air Force Veteran & former medic
Always on the lookout for a good budget hack, a last-minute deal, or a workaround that makes travel feel possible — even when it seems out of reach.
Military spouse, which means a lot of solo parenting and solo travel while my husband is deployed or off at trainings.
Former over-packer turned carry-on queen because it saves both money and sanity.
Big believer in the power of travel: for kids, for parents, and for families figuring it out as they go.
And someone who is tired of perfectly curated, unrealistic social media.
Passport Playdate is my way of keeping it honest, sharing the good, the chaotic, and the moments in between.
If you're looking for real tips, real stories, and a reminder that you're not the only one winging it...
You’re in the right place.

Budget-conscious but experience-rich.
We fly economy, eat street food, and turn layovers into little adventures.
It’s not about luxury. It’s about connection, curiosity, and showing the world to our daughter without breaking the bank.Because the memories?
They don’t come from first class.
They come from snack runs in new cities, dancing in airport terminals, and figuring it out together & of course the people we meet along the way -
Not exactly. I’m a business owner, a full-time MBA student, and a mom, so my days are full, just not in the influencer way.
When I started this page, I didn’t even know how to make a Reel.
I didn’t create it for content, I created it because people kept asking how we traveled so much, how we packed, how we managed. So no, this isn’t my full-time job.
But it is a full-hearted space I built to share what’s worked for us, and to help other families feel confident enough to explore too.

Me, my daughter (HB), and my husband (Mike), who travels with us when he’s not working.
I solo parent a lot, so you’ll find a ton of tips for flying and exploring alone with kids.
We also often travel with friends and family which is such a treat!

Short answer: we plan for it.
We fly economy. We travel off-season. We stack credit card points, book with flight deals, and say no to the upgrades on trips and in life.
We don’t have the trendiest house, and we don’t upgrade our stuff often. But we do prioritize experiences and for us, that means travel.
Stick around and I’ll show you how and where we cut extra spending. -
Travel has always been a passion of mine it's how I learn, grow, and connect with the world.
When I became a mom, I didn’t want to lose that part of myself.
We didn’t want to wait until our daughter was “older” or “easier.”
Life doesn’t pause for parenthood, and I didn’t want her to grow up thinking the world was something to fear or wait for.
